Cedar Falls

The beautiful Hocking Hills State Park offers many hiking trails, lakes, several large waterfalls, and rock formations that are thousands of years old. Cedar Falls is one of the most popular attractions in the park.  Spring time visits offer the most stunning views of the falls as temperatures warm and snow melt becomes a huge water source, cascading over the rocks before landing in the pool below.

Water is the Word

The park's natural beauty will never cease to amaze.  Pictured here are the Upper Falls, smaller in comparison to Cedar Falls but still beautiful nonetheless. During the summer time when trees are full in foliage, the park offers many picturesque photo opportunities.

Over the River and Through the Woods...

Bridges such as these can be found throughout the entire park, offering views above the water.  Looking down, you can spot snapping turtles, fish, and even snakes.  Humans are the minority in this park.

History in the Making

Historic building such as the one shown here dot the grounds of the Inn.  Many of them are original structures that the owners have preserved for over one hundred years. Early spring offers the blooming of daffodils and snow bells.

Free-Falling

Visiting a park after a hard spring rain allows for fresh water to trickle down cliff overhangs.  This is one of many you'll see on your visit if you choose to venture off onto one of the footpaths created by visitors.
